In York, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Pennsylvania, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. You can reach JP Croft Greenhouses at (717) 880-4766; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 50 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded garden centers in York.

York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Would give 100 stars! Best greenhouses I've visited in York County. Staff is warm, friendly and ready to help. Plants are disease, and pest free. Only problem I had was deciding on what I wanted from their wide variety and beauty!! Thank you!!

JP Croft is a great place to pick up flowers, plants, and herbs. The hanging baskets are beautifully done and reasonably priced. We like to come back every spring to pick up herbs and vegetable plants for the season. We also love picking up flowers to liven up our deck. We also like to visit in the fall and pick up mums. The prices are reasonable and affordable.
